Entrepreneurshi

Along with the Universidad del Norte, we held the final round of our Call for Entrepreneurship, CHUEmprende. Such call was open to the school community; for the final round, twelve innovative projects were chosen. We want to congratulate our winners, who will receive entrepreneurship assessment from qualified professionals. First Place: Grade 2 students Valentina Gómez and Rosalía Barandica, with a lime dessert; Second Place: Grade 12 students Sofía Mendoza, Daniela Dávila and María Becerra with Jai Station (application for youngsters); Third Place: teacher Susy Liffman, Momskitchenopen24 hours (pastry and bakery).  Many pictures have been posted at Colegio Hebreo Union´s Facebook page

Football team

As of November 2, several of the school´s children´s teams, 2007-2008 category, and 2010- 2011-2012 are participating in Soccer Intercollegiate Games, organized by Colegio Gimnasio Altamar.

These games are being played on Saturdays; Colegio Hebreo Unión has played two games, winning them both!

Our students have shown great commitment and dedication while playing, honoring the name of Colegio Hebreo Unión.

AtlánticoCrea

Our 5th to 12th grade students were visited by Rodrigo Medina, representative of Dozermaq, an entrepreneurship project winner of the AtlanticoCrea summoning. Victor Deluque, director of AtlanticoCrea, was the host who guided the children to do innovative proposals for the given problem, from which began the entrepreneur project previously mentioned.

Social Work

 12th grade students visited Golda Meyer community center, in Las Americas neighborhood, where they do social work.
6. As the Spanish end of the first period exam, the Spanish department developed a project of oral tradition which objective was to strengthen affective bonds between grandparents and their grandchildren, as well as conserving beautiful cultural traditions. Grandparents were invited by their grand children to share life stories.

Business Model

Between October 28 and November 5, teachers, administrators, elementary, middle school and high school students, and in general all the CHU community received entrepreneurship training on the “Construction of a business model” and “Pitch”; these were given at the Universidad del Norte, within the framework of the sustained alliance with the school, under the call for “StartUpLab2019. #CHUEMPRENDE se siente.

BAMUN XIX

Congratulations to our Seniors Jorge Stefanell  and Sofia Mendoza, who were recognized as Best Delegates on their committee due to their outstanding participation in BAMUN XIX. Thank you for honoring  our school´s  name.

Another Senior student, Juan Esteban Albis represented us at Colegio Real´s  phorum “Pensando en Colombia”, in a presentation called “Corruption: A Social Epidemic”. Thanks Juan Esteban for such an excellent presentation.

Agasaja Teachers Parent Council

The Parent Council had special attention with our teachers. Thanks to these Parents for all their love and their permanent support to our processes.

Singer Show

As a final evaluation of their English class, fifth grade students sang a song at the Singer Show. Our children enjoyed each interpretation.

Teacher’s Day Celebration

In recent days the entire educational community met to celebrate Teacher’s Day and also the achievements obtained with ISO and Advanced accreditations.

 

Science Fair

With interesting projects, students from Second to Twelve grade actively participated in the CHU Science Fair. The emotion and interest of our children in the investigation, and subsequent presentation, of the projects was evident.

Readers Award

The Department of Spanish and the Library joined together to recognize the students who, during the 2018 – 2019 school year, showed a high interest and love for reading, reading the books of the reading plan, and regularly attending the library .

Employee of the Month

The employees of the month of April were rewarded for their excellent performance. They are: María Camacho – Operational Management Yeny Rivera and Dayana Martínez – Administrative Management Vanesa Vellojín – Teacher Management.

The big day arrived and the whole CHU family enjoyed everything we prepared to enjoy this special day.
